Samsung Mobile wanted to jump out of a cycle of underperforming major music ‘sponsorships’. They also wanted a point of view in music and to the music industry. We conceived the Samsung SmartTicket as a solution and promoted some live shows - which anyone could buy a ticket to - to demonstrate it.
SmartTicket is a completely mobile ticket which gives audiences, live event information, event entry, personalised content messages from the artist, access to film of the show that you attended, drink and merchandise purchase all via your electronic ticket.
This campaign was widely discussed across global media and we received heavyweight music industry support – which is unprecedented in typical branded music campaigns.
