PHAR hosts thank you party for clients and partners in Asia

It was great to see everyone who came to our rooftop party last week at the Capri Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. The event was set-up to say thank you to our clients and partners in Asia for all their help over the past 3 and a half years. We look forward to continue working with you all in the future and hosting more of these events!

We've had a lot of recent new additions to the team here at PHAR, with Henry Marks and Marcus Treacy joining our Insight Team, Monika Orolinova joining our Activation Team, Irene Corosu joining in PR and Amisha Choksi joining in Finance...... So much so that we'll soon be moving into our brand new offices on Whitehall! We're also going to be moving into our new permanent office in Manchester later this month, where Kirsty Donkersley, the first new recruit to the team in the North West, will join on 1st July as Account Director. Kirsty has over ten years' worth of experience in sponsorship, having worked brand side at McCain Foods and Aviva, and agency side at MEC and TVC Group, where she'll be joining us from.

PHAR Partnerships is pleased to announce the expansion of its Insight division with two new appointments. Henry Marks joins as Insight Executive, moving from Generate where he worked across a number of clients including Premiership Rugby, Speedo, AXA PPP, Jewson and Sport England.  Henry will work across a range of PHAR Insight’s clients – currently covering a mix of brands, arenas, football clubs, public transport authorities and sports governing bodies.

Alastair Macdonald, Head of PHAR Insight, commented: “We have over recent months experienced a significant increase in demand for analysis of sponsorship value and advice on sponsorship strategy.  We have been very keen to respond to this not simply with more people, but to bring into the team specific expertise and genuine market knowledge.  We are absolutely delighted to have recruited Marcus and Henry, whose skills and experience will help enable us to offer genuine best-in-class products and services to our clients.”

PHAR Insight offers high-quality research and analysis into the value and effect of sponsorships, expert advice on how sponsorship programmes may be structured to achieve their potential, and strategic consultancy for both brands and rights holders.

PHAR opens new office in Manchester

PHAR have this month opened a new office in Manchester, marking the latest chapter in our the exponential growth since being founded by Marcus Wight (CEO) and Nick Lockwood (MD) in 2011. The Manchester office will take us to our 9th city around the world following on from London, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Manila, Bangkok Bangalore and Riyadh. PHAR Manchester will be headed up by Ian Tussie who has been with the company since its inception. Ian has, over the past 12 months, secured a number of clients in the North West, and feels now is the time to enter the market permanently in the region. “Our Manchester office will be an extension of our London HQ, delivering long-term commercial value to brand and rights holder clients. Manchester is the ideal location for our first UK office outside of London given the work we have already done in the North West including securing Phones 4U as the new title sponsor of the Manchester Arena. We have also been working with as their activation agency for their sponsorship of Manchester City Football Club and we are also soon to announce a few new projects in the region. It’s a really exciting time for the company and we are confident that our Manchester team will grow over the next 18 months.”

Marcus Wight:

“Ian is one of the stars of PHAR and it fits with the entrepreneurial nature of the company that he is setting up our new office in Manchester. We see huge potential in creating partnerships that allow our existing international clients to grow their businesses through partnerships with brands, rights holders and talent that our Manchester office represents and vice versa with Manchester based clients wanting to do the same in Asia and the Middle East.”
