Nick's Story

Nick joined Marcus at Sports Media straight from Oxford University as an Account Executive at the age of 21. After 5 years working with Marcus, he came with him and co-founded PHAR and has been Managing Director of PHAR globally since, learning how to manage and run a rapidly expanding international business, which is now across x9 countries and over 80 people.

It is what we do at PHAR - fast-track the best talent. It doesn’t matter how old you are, if you are good enough, we would love you to be one of our success stories!


Marcus' Story

Marcus is Head of Digital at PHAR, and has been with the company for 2 years. 

He started his career at Deloitte Consulting UK where he worked in the Tech, Media and Telco consulting practice. Subsequently he completed the London 2012 Olympics project upon which time he was looking for a new challenge with an entrepreneurial, meritocratic company. 

He joined the PHAR Insight team in London and helped develop the market-leading suite of sponsorship research and evaluation tools and worked on a number of key clients as an Account Director. After just under a year in that role, the opportunity arose to apply his knowledge of data and programmatic learnt at Deloitte and launch PHAR Focus, the programmatic arm of PHAR. He is now based in South East Asia and has grown his own team of ad traders, digital campaign coordinators and sales staff across 5 different countries. 


Manju's Story

Manju was the third person to join PHAR in Asia back in 2011 and had the task of setting up a finance team and looking after Indran and Sen (our first two employees).

Through all the ups and downs of growing a new business she has been the rock that has made sure that we report our numbers, make our payments and collect our invoices.

Manju now travels the region overseeing finance teams in Jakarta, Bangkok and Manila and has become an expert in setting up offices in new countries in the region. In her spare time, she is now studying for an MBA.   


Sen's Story


Sen joined PHAR back in 2011, as one of the initial intake of sales executives - his first job in Malaysia following a degree at Nottingham University. It quickly became clear that Sen would become part of the family, as his hunger to learn and progress his career, meant he was perfect for PHAR. Quickly progressing through Sales Executive, Manager and Director, Sen is now Head of Sales for Malaysia and running our largest sales team in Asia, at the age of 28 years old. Going forward we aim to fulfill Sen’s aim to work internationally as he continues to grow.


Ian's Story

One of the original team at PHAR, Ian has been with the business for over 5 years. His role has evolved from sponsorship sales and account management of a number of our key clients (such as Eden Project, David Lloyd Leisure, TfL and Manchester Arena). In his 5 years with the business Ian has brokered a number of partnerships for our clients with brands such as Kingsmill, Jaguar, Zoggs, Reebok, Asda, Halifax, Ricoh, Phones 4U and Carling.

In July 2014 Ian relocated to Manchester where he set up an office for PHAR, servicing brands and rights owners in the North such as ACC Liverpool, Pure Gym, Transport for Greater Manchester, Manchester City Council, Chill Factore and The University of Manchester.


Andito'S STORY

Andito Prakoso joined PT Phar Indonesia in 2013. He had previously been working with broadcaster JAK TV as a Business Development manager, involved with projects like the NBA broadcast. Starting as a Sales Manager at PHAR he was exposed to the Air Asia business (digital, print and ambient media), the BeIN Sports TV channel (live European football broadcast) and then went onto to help pioneer the Pertamina petrol pumps project, managing major brands like Unilever, Yamaha, Nissan and L'Oreal. Andito now manages all the marketing and business development activities across all media divisions at Phar Indonesia.

  • PHAR’s Manchester office is looking for a Sales Executive to join the team.
  • The focus of the successful candidate will be new business development, predominantly approaching brands and agencies regarding sponsorship and partnership opportunities that we are representing.
  • We are looking for a hard-working, bright individual, a quick-learner with an interest in, and understanding of what we do.
  • The role includes researching brands, understanding what they do and their objectives, and using the information at your disposal to best secure meetings.
